About us

Geographic Bureau has been operating in Russian Adventure Travel Business since 1989. It is one of the first private adventure travel firms which emerged in this country as a result of Gorbachev's "perestroika".

Founded by professional geographers from St. Petersburg State University it specializes in organizing tours and expeditions to the remote wild areas of Russia and the republics of the former USSR. Some of our tours may bring you to places where no foreigners have been allowed to even glance at for dozens of years.

Mt Elbrus is our company's first Big Mountain. Geographic Bureau customers have been climbing it since 1990.

Nowadays we do a lot of other climbs, treks and expeditions. We do all of them professionally. But Mt Elbrus is the Mountain where we started feeling quite confident, being efficient and competitive. We hope you will share these feelings with us.
